About

Welcome! I'm Aysha (eye-sha).

Aysha Crain, MSW, LCSW/LICSW (she/her)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) in Oregon & Washington, trained in providing individual and group psychotherapy. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology degrees from Portland State University. I have been employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs for over 10 years, working with Veterans who experience symptoms of PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety,  Panic Disorder, Dissociation, and Moral Injury.

I have had the honor and pleasure of supervising a number of MSW students, completing their internship towards their MSW degree, and supervising postgraduate social workers working towards their clinical social work license.

From 2016-2019, I was invited to teach a handful of classes as an adjunct professor in the Master of Social Work program at Portland State University.

Additionally, from 2002-2004, I served in AmeriCorps, working in social services, serving South Asian Women living in the Portland Metro area, who were experiencing domestic violence.

I love learning new hobbies and crafts and am feeling pretty good about my knitting and crocheting skills presently, I deeply appreciate a good karaoke session, love my two kitties immensely, love baking and cooking, tending to my extensive collection of house plants, and I am always working to find balance, living as a chronically ill person.

I identify as Queer, Caucasian, anti-racist, sex & body positive, disabled, and a cisgender female (she/her).
